The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, the Southeast Asia themed hotel/casino that is owned by MGM Mirage, was opened in March 1999 on the former grounds of the Hacienda. MGM Mirage also owns Bellagio, Circus Circus, Excalibur, Luxor, MGM Grand, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Treasure Island, and City Center.

Mandalay Bay is known for its Shark Reef, a million gallon saltwater shark tank; the permanent show "Mama Mia" (see available tickets below; its top-tier boxing matches (see ticket options below); the House of Blues, a restaurant and music venue attracting prominent musicians; Michael Mina and Wolfgang Puck restaurants; and a wave and topless pool.

www mandalay bay com is a simple site, but I like it.

What I like:

• You can easily get to the site as there is no redirect.
• The name of the resort and casino, Mandalay Bay, is the name of the website.
• Their homepage as well as their linked pages require no scrolling up or down; it's all above the fold.
• You can easily see what is offered.
• Like the rest of the Vegas' sites, music is played but it's easy to mute it.
• The tool bar is consistent throughout the different pages so navigation is simple and effective.
• There are drop down boxes that hover the links to simplify your search

What I think needs improvement:

• Pictures: there weren't enough pictures of what I'm going to experience. I want to see what the rooms, pools, and activities are going to look like.
• Explanations: there aren't a lot of details about the Mandalay Bay experience.
