Cheap tickets.com is a site designed to help you find deals on flights, hotels, car rentals, activities, packages, cruises, train travel, event tickets, and last minute trips. They also have two more features: Cheap Tickets Gold and Cheap of the Week. Below is my review.
This is what I liked about the site www cheap tickets com:
- Like advertised, I found some cheap tickets. SFO to LAX in one week from now for $123 bucks per person after taxes. Not bad, but not much better than Travelocity at $124 for the same airline and times. The difference I found was that www.cheaptickets.com did give more of a discount for a child traveling than travelocity.com did.
- It was easier to change the dates and travel time on cheap tickets.com than on travelocity
- They partner with StubHub, which was just bought by eBay, to buy tickets for events.
- The navigation bar across the top is constant so it's very easy to navigate the site.
- Wording was clear and concise.
- Cheap of the Week had some deals, check it out before you book your travel.

What could be improved at www.cheaptickets.com:
- The Cheap Tickets Gold seemed a bit like a sham to me. I couldn't find how much it costs to be a member, just that you could receive two months for $1 with a quit at anytime policy. Unless you travel a lot, it probably isn't worth it.
- When booking a flight, there wasn't an easy way to change the travelers' options; you had to use the back button.
- With a name like www cheaptickets com, the tickets should be cheaper than a buck compared to other sites.

All I can say is they are criminals. I wanted to switch a departure date and in doing so I was charged $200 dollars for the change. This was not a problem but when I looked at the new ticket cost Cheaptickets.com charged me the price of the old ticket plus the price of a new ticket and said that would be the new ticket price which was over $700. So after it was all over the ticket cost over $900. Be very careful when dealing with this company. They will rip you off.
I booked a flight from Cheaptickets.com for Las Vegas but I got an error message regarding the card that I used. I thought I just made a mistake in entering my card number but still my booking didn't go through. So I called my bank and they said that I was charged with a certain fee for 9 times! But cheaptickets didn't see my reservation on their system when I called them. So after endless calls, I finally had them bring my funds back to my account. I was then told by cheaptickets that I had to wait for an hour or so and then rebook my ticket again. Instead of waiting, I booked at Travelocity instead. Everything went smoothly this time in less than 10 minutes. So I figured, there was definitely nothing wrong with my card. It's their (cheaptickets) site that has a problem. The last agent whom I spoke with was patient in trying to get my problem solved but they seem not to know that the problem is on their end.

I cancelled a flight ticket on November 11, 2009. I have been waiting for my refund for $127.60. I have sent 3 inquiries without any responce. I was very satisfied with your services before this experience. I am now very disappointed that you have refused to refund my money.
I am looking for a package deal to Las Vegas and I see 2 that I might be interested in. The 1st one is with frontier airlines and staying at circus circus. My question is there was a book now receive 30% off notation. Is this notation of 30% off already in the price of $317.00 or is this an additional savings? Same thing but staying at the Strospher for $321.00 It says Package special 45% off unlimited 2 for 1 thrill rides and spa discount. Can you tell me more about this?
You are trying to collect money that is not owed to you. In other words you are trying to put a fast on the company and it will never happended. Change you criminal ways, it may have work for awhile. But, one of this days you will end it up in prison.

I'm not the only one it seems to have had problems with Cheaptickets.
I booked 2 flights from Montreal to Italy 3 months ahead and never received my tickets. I tried everything.. but really everything to get those tickets back and nothing. They have horrible service. They told me I had to cancel the flight and book another one and I would get a refund. I had no choice or I wasn't getting home.. Then they told me I had to wait a year to get the refund and now they tell me it's too late, they can't do anything for me. I couldn't even book another flight with that money. This company is a trap. Please take my word for it. I lost $2000 US.

I do not understand Jessie, you are cheap, cheaper than you it doesn't exists anymore, my advised is that you, should go and tell this company that you are the cheapest and that quality is ancestral, it runs in your family for the last five generations. The least this company can do for you is value your consistence and insistance: tell them that you are cheap as they are and they should honor your cheapness and their cheapness, that you belong together and they shold give you those cheap tickets for free. My advise Dear Jessie. First you seem a little dumfounded and clueles. Look for Lokimura, lined up with him follow him and do whatever he tells you to do. If you have one of your stupid ideas reject them immediatly. Lokimura knows what to use the free tickets. Hopefully he is not married and if he is , talk to his wife and ask for permision to use Lokimura. In all probabilities she is a japonese woman and she won't mind for some small feee, of course. If this doesn't work follow the Vayeos fellow that it seems he knows what he is doing, I am afraid he won''t be of much help since he just married a transvestite and he does'nt like lesbians like yourself. If all fails go and throw yourself to the mercy of the court of justice in Florida that I understand are linient in cases like yours.

I am going back to Florida thanks to this nice people, I was there a year ago and now I am going back in the company of my brand new wife that I met In Florida last year. I do not have any problems with them, because I know how to read English, I am tolerant, I am not abusive and I do not think that everything has to be exactly my way. I recomend to you dear flabbergasted to read the conditions and requirements. and maybe you'll find a good husband in Florida this time, for what I heard you have looking for a husband for the last 17 years. Don't give up darling. The customer service is not horrible, you are the horrible. You wish that somebody rip you off. Good luck, but is not going to be the fine elements of customer service. Cheaptickets has horrible customer service. They try to rip off their customers as much as possible. $50USD on top of the fee that Airlines already charge to change tickets is obsurd. I would suggest booking directly through airlines in order to not be charged ridiulous fees if you end up changing your flight.
You can't beleive the miss I'm in with cheap ticket. I purshased a ticket from them, they send me the paper ticket because it's an over sea's trip. No problem there untill the air line decided to cancel the scheduled flight. Do you know the old question which one cames first the egg or the chiken? It is just like that. I call cheap ticket to resolve the issue they ask me to call the air line directly. then when I call the air line directly to reslove it they asked me to call cheap ticket my (AGENT) to reprint the ticket. Cheap ticket reply's Oh no we don't print tickets it is the airline and the airline say's no it is the agent that should do it. CHEAP PRICE COMES WITH CHEAP CUSTOMER SERVICE. and let me tell you something about the customer services. they are all in India with american names heavy accent and bad altidud un beleivable. I don't know why do we want to support this company. I call upon anyone who is about to by a ticket with cheap ticket. DON"T for one simple reason if you ever have a problem they can't fix it. About a year ago I purchased a ticket on cheaptickets.com and everything seemed to work out great. I also purchase at expedia and the other usual suspects. If you're looking for a site to stay away from - airgorilla.com

These people are scam artists in the making! I literally just got back yesterday from vacation to write this! When they show you what package you can get that doesn't mean they have contacted the people at the hotel, car rental, etc. it just means these are the services that are available. That means if you pay for a car rental for instance at Budget when you land to get the car budget will tell you cheaptickets never talked to them and they have NO information regarding your purchase at cheaptickets. So lets say you bought car insurance through cheaptickets. Budget won't even know about it and will NOT accept it and they will want you to buy their car insurance on top of renting it because cheaptickets sold you stuff that is none existing and useless. So to say the least you will experience many problems during your stressful vacation and you will shell out a lot of extra cash and get no help at all from the people your buying services from whether it's from cheaptickets or Budget or etc. In my opinion this is unlawful and they should be investigated!
